At Luna Aerial Dance & Performing Arts, we introduce kids and teens ages 9–17 to the exciting world of aerial and circus arts through structured, age-appropriate training. As a boutique circus and performing arts school in Frederick, Maryland, our Youth Aerials Program blends creativity, physical development, and performance-focused movement in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Students train in aerial fabrics (silks), lyra (aerial hoop), dance trapeze, and other circus-inspired disciplines, guided by experienced instructors who prioritize safety, progression, and artistic expression. Whether your child is brand new or already has movement experience, our curriculum-based approach ensures they’re challenged, supported, and celebrated at every stage.

Our Youth Aerials Program in Frederick County is designed to support the whole performer—physically, creatively, and personally. Each class combines movement fundamentals, artistic exploration, and performance technique to help students develop strength, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness.
Beyond physical skills, students gain confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self-expression in an uplifting, non-competitive setting. This program is organized by level, allowing each student to progress safely while developing discipline, focus, and creative voice at their own pace.

More Than Movement: Leadership Built Into Every Class
At Luna Aerial Dance & Performing Arts, leadership development is woven into our youth curriculum. As part of the Luna Aerial All Stars experience, students ages 9–17 participate in a built-in Youth Leadership Program designed to cultivate confidence, accountability, and teamwork.
Each month focuses on a core leadership theme—such as goal setting, integrity, or collaboration—integrated naturally into class through movement prompts, reflection, and instructor-led discussions. These moments help students connect their training in the air to personal growth on the ground.
We’re not just teaching aerial skills—we’re helping young performers grow into confident, capable individuals.
